Conroe is a small town sixty minutes north of Houston and only a few minutes from The Woodlands and all the amenities found there. The last 25 years has seen a huge growth in the area due to its proximity to a major employment center like Houston, but Lake Conroe is probably one of the biggest draws for the approximately 45,000 residents and many people who have vacation homes there.

Lake Conroe is a man-made lake 21 miles long and covering over 21,000 acres. It is the reserve drinking water supply for the City of Houston and offers a host of recreations activities like boating, fishing, jet skiing and swimming.

Many fine hotels and resort areas line the banks of the lake and luxurious waterfront homes are found in some of the more popular neighborhoods like Bentwater, Walden, Del Lago, Palm Beach Estates, and Grand Harbor.

The Conroe Independent School district is the same one that serves the residents of The Woodlands and many restaurants and new shopping areas are being built to make the area even more inviting to those families wishing to get away from the city and live in a resort like area year round.
