One of the newest villages in The Woodlands, Sterling Ridge is located on the western end of the area and there are many new homes being build that cover a wide range of prices and styles. Terramont is a neighborhood experiencing very fast growth and a lot of the new construction is in this area.

The parks in Sterling Ridge are also among the newest. Cranebrook Park, Terramont Park, Carlton Woods Park and Artist Grove Park feature many outstanding recreational opportunities. Cranebrook has a fun water park, Terramont has a Frisbee golf course, skateboarding and ‘bark’ park and Carlton Woods features a pond and pop fountains.

Area children and teens attend some of the newest schools in the Conroe ISD including Deretchin Elementary (K-6) and nearby Coulson Tough Elementary (K-6) as well as the ninth grade campus of The Woodlands High School.

Sterling Ridge also has several day care facilities and pre-schools and the new George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library is located here, across the street from the new branch of the South Montgomery County YMCA.

The village shopping center features a supermarket, drug store, bagel shop, several fine restaurants and numerous convenience stores like gas stations and dry cleaners. A new Wal-Mart SuperCenter has recently been completed nearby at the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and FM 2978.

According to the latest statistics from the Houston Association of Realtors, Sterling Ridge has almost 2,500 residences with more being built and a median appraised value of $301,360 for a median square foot price of $109.72. The average year built was 2004 and since it began in 2002 the square foot price has gone from $93.87 to $99.19 in 2005 (the last year statistics are available.)
